I'm looking into speedruning but i dont have a good recording software

Any sugestions???

OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is free and is the most commonly used streaming/recording software out there. It's an amazing tool that we honestly take for granted as available for free.

I use XSplit, which I've heard is worse than OBS, but another option just in case OBS doesn't work in some way.

No, I use OBS, it's free. (I also use Elgato game capture software and rarely Camtasia)

OBS, XSplit, Bandicam, Camtasia Screen Recording, Fraps, Dxtory etc. all should work.

I agree one hundred percent with the first guy suggesting OBS. You might have a problem dealing with the settings, but there are plenty of YouTube videos that are helpful.
