I'm tired of losing the 8BitDo QC Gacha. I keep buying them again because they're good, afforadble controllers when they work. But when they don't work and I need to replace them, I'm usually playing the Amazon Buy-And-Return Shuffle and this time it got me literally a day outside of the return window. It made it 31 days before giving me issues, which is well before the usual 6-month period I expect before problems start setting in for them.
Getting a PC controller is no problem. You have unlimited options for PC controllers these days. I also need a controller with turbo, but even that's pretty basic these days.
The problem is that I use the 8bitdo Retro Receivers for anything I play on an actual console. My 8BitDo controller is the controller for my PC, Switch, PS1, PS2, PS3, SNES, GameCube, GameBoy Player on GameCube, and I think even the Dreamcast but I don't know that I ever got to test the adapter I picked up for that. I'd be better off just buying a lifetime supply of 8BitDos and praying to the RNG gods rather than buying one solid reliable PC controller + a dozen other controllers. The Retro Receivers claim to be compatible with XBOX Bluetooth as well as DualSHock 3 and 4 controllers, "and more!" That's really the big mystery in this whole thing -- I can find a laundry list of cool, expensive, quality controllers. I have no idea if any of them are compatible.
So I'm looking for a Bluetooth controller that likely has to spit out an XBOX, X-Input, or PS3/4 connection by Bluetooth, has turbo, and has a decent D-Pad. ...which is the entire 8BitDo line of Bluetooth controllers. Does anybody have a good alternative?
