I can't live stream so when I do speed runs I just record on amarectv until I close off a run, but it keeps stopping the recording randomly and I'm scared that I'm gonna get on a good run and it will just stop before I finish again.

I would recommend almost anything else to local record runs with unless you need a specific feature of amarec or behavior only it can provide.

Just use broadcasting software like OBS and local record instead of stream. That way you can still use a layout if you wanted to.

I've still never found an alternative for local recording raw video footage while live. If you're doing offline recordings though, OBS is fine, though if it's offline I would advise against showing anything other than video

Yea I've been doing offline recordings because my internet is crap xD but I don't like to use obs because after a while it says the encoding is overloaded and I'm not to sure how to fix that.
