Why are the threads always three years old

I think it's because they get locked if they're any older or something. They actively seek out the oldest, still open thread and necro it to annoy

@O.D.W the oldest thread on the site is unlocked right now, so it's not that. They're probably always 3 years old because this site didn't really get that popular until around that time I assume, so older posts don't get found that much because there aren't many.
