Hi I enjoy speedrunning games and I'm a console player. Don't own a PC or a Laptop but I do want to submit some runs to this website. Is a phone recording of the full screen good enough to be accepted? Or must it be full HD 1080P recording ect that has been recorded with an actual capture device?
It depends on the rules of specific leaderboards but because a lot don't make clear definitions for that line of quality it might fall to the moderators' discretion in either accepting or rejecting a run with especially poor quality video; it also might depend on the leaderboard position your run is in etc..
The site has previously (possibly current I just haven't checked) that for screen recordings 720p and upwards is a good standard to hold to, but external recordings are a bit different as you've said you wanted to do. Maybe you could record a sample of a run and ask the game moderators if it'd be acceptable in that quality?
