Hey guys,

My name is Wulfblight, I'm an avid gamer and have been for many many years. I enjoy watching speedrun, which led me here, and I aim to have my name on a few leaderboards soon hopefully! I've chosen my first game to speedrun and it shouldn't be too difficult to get on the leaderboards, but I'll try my best!

Just wanted to introduce myself and I hope you are all well! Out of curiosity, what was the first game you speedrun, or the first game you got your name on the leaderboards for?

Thanks guys, and I hope to see you around :)

Awesome! Hope your having fun speedrunning your first game! :)

My first game to speedrun is a mobile game called "Crossy Road" (i speedrun both mobile & PC version of it). Since then, i move to PC (and probably some emulator) runs just to ease out myself. Also, i mostly runs RPG and other short-duration games for now.

I'm new, I have tried some Minecraft java speed runs (random seed), however they have not gone well XD. hope to see ya on the leaderboards fellow noob.

good luck

Hello! I'm fairly new around here too, but I'll answer your question because I get to name 3 great games in response!

The game that got me into speedrunning and first brought this site to my attention was the flash version of Duke Dashington Remastered, the first game I actually recorded my runs for was Shelled Shinobi, and the first game I got on the leaderboards here (and joined the site for) is Foxbot. I recommend all three games to anyone who enjoys 2d platformers.

Welcome to the site and good luck!

I'm mostly into 2d platformers as well. My first speedgame was "A Pirate and his Crates", a very short action-platform game in the style of 15 consecutive very short levels, which takes ~1:20-1:50 minute, based on your skill level. I chose a short/easy game so I could start to run something without much difficulty or practice. A bit later it turned out that this short game contains some crazy near frame-perfect glitches, to the contrary of what I envisioned at first. For some reason, it is also the most popular game from the games I moderated.
