I agree with not liking the new layout but quitting the site is just stupid imo. It's probably going to get fixed, I'm not gonna move to another site unless something big happens (e.g, previously accessible features locked behind a paywall)

The time to leave was likely awhile ago (like years), but a layout change is hardly the biggest concerns you should have now. Making a thread threatening to leave though isn't exactly going to get things to change overnight. Would be nice if someone still running src would actually communicate with the people using their site. Oh well, pray for no paywall!

If you are serious about leaving and wish to transfer your moderation roles, announce this in your games' communities where there are interested and motivated runners, not here.

I honestly don't share this fear of features being locked behind a paywall in the future. I mean, if Elo really wanted to go that route, it wouldn't make sense to have unlocked the donor perks for everyone to use in the first place, right? I just don't think there's enough to warrant being worried about something of the sort yet (and I hope that stays that way).

That being said, I agree with everything said in the replies here: a simple layout change (though hideous) is hardly grounds to decide something as drastic as quitting the site altogether. The site isn't built upon it's layout, but rather its ability to house lots of small communities and giving them a place to show off their times, and those are fortunately still here.

I'd probably stick around for a bit and see what direction they take the new layout, since it's relatively recent and (hopefully) they'll take the user feedback and tune it to our needs.

If purchasing src doesn't start making them money I wouldn't rule it out. What perks do donors even get anyways? I donated years ago and still don't know lmao

The layout isn't even as terrible as everyone is saying. It's just too small, the news is in the wrong place, and homepage runs/ stream isn't working right. It's impossible to make a perfect layout that pleases everyone, people said the exact same thing when the layout changed years before.

Edit: @Komrade, custom badge, name gradient, extra socials for your profile, and coin badge (still exclusive to donors)
