Submitting to glitchless as this doesn't really "break" the game. Might be moved to glitched if the mods decide it better belongs there.

The shot hit the tree, but the block never disappeared. However, you can see that the tree falls over at the base without me shooting that spot further.

You can confirm that the tree also "broke", rather than the dirt below it, because I pick up a block of wood that dropped from the bugged block. This is different from the second wood block that I shot as that block fell on a spot that I never walked to (it fell to the right of the tree).
