(UPDATED - 2023) Complete guide to playing the game without Flash.

You need to install Flashpoint (I personally use Flashpoint Infinity 11.1), you can do so right here: https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/downloads/

Open Flashpoint and search up "Elephant Quest", you need to run it, start a new game, skip the intro and let the world map load.
Then you close it, and reopen from Newgrounds Player using this link: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/566862. Everything should work fine now.

Of course you can just play from Flashpoint, but at least for me, Newgrounds isn't as laggy.

Everytime you restart the PC, you have to do this again (open from Flashpoint first, then Newgrounds Player).

IF YOU WANT THE .SWF FILE, HEAD OVER TO RESOURCES.
I don't recommend using .swf files because the borders are broken, but if that's still something you want, you'll find a link there.

(Windows) How to find, edit, export/import save files.

Go to "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects".

You will find a folder named something like "PANWZR3A", open it.

There you'll see the collection of all Flash Games you have played.
- If you're using .swf files go to "localhost\Users\%username%" and then the location of the file.
- If you're not, the folder will probably be named something like "uploads.ungrounded.net" (that's the Newgrounds Player)

From there, find the game folder (something like "elephant-quest"), copy the directory location from the searcher at the top for easier access later.

The save file is named "eleRPG0.sol" or "eleRPG0.so", all you have to do is swap it with your desired file with the same name and restart the game. As far as i know, the save file is loaded only and only when you press "Play Game!".

All the information is stored in the file. I haven't bothered to decipher the data, if you want to do so you'll have to figure it out by yourself. It's probably just easier to use CheatEngine or something, or download one from the Resources page.
