Current Enter the Heist speedrun guide

There are a few main ways to save time in an Enter the Heist speedrun.

1. The blind walk: As soon as the game loads, you're able to control your character without having started the timer. With this, you can press the button next to the door in the starting room before your screen even starts glitching for the first time. This takes a lot of practice at first, and can definitely be frustrating. The main semi-consistent strategy is to hold right and down without touching the mouse. After doing this for a bit, you can look slightly down and turn around, spam left click and hope.

2. The phone thing: In the next room, you can remove the necessity for fast reactions by clicking on the phone at specified voice lines. For the first ring, pick the phone up when the narrator is saying "ringing." it's hard to get it consistent, but at some point you'll get it consistently. After picking it up for the first time, just spam left click on it and you should pick it up pretty quickly, and you can get it without even having it ring at all if you're lucky. For the second ring, just do the same thing you did before, but now do it when the narrator is saying "things."

3. The table: In the next room (the white room with the curtains and shit) you can climb the stairs, drop quickly on the table, then drop to the floor. This just skips a bunch of dialogue, and you can just head through the door.

4. The Miscellaneous Interactions skip. This strategy was discovered by OnlineWalk3r, and I don't want to take away anything from the original guide here. For this strategy, check out Neonjays' guide! It's far more in-depth than I'd be able to say here.

Current timesaves for All Achievements

1. In the first room, collect all coins and pretzels, but remember that the trigger for the next voiceline is on the steps in the publicity and liaisons room. ignore the pretzel on the door until you've triggered the voice line.

2. In the backstage room, you can ignore the broom and pretzel next to the garage door, and instead opt for the table voiceline skip that is used in any% after collecting the rest of the coins and pretzels. You have a chance to take care of the remaining broom and pretzel at the end of the game.

3. In the lighting room, immediately pull the switch before collecting everything.

4. In wildlife preparation, pull the switch before immediately opening the door, then pressing the button as you would normally, which leaves enough time to gather everything else.

5. Weather control is normal, you can collect the pretzel behind the door to the elevator room early but it doesn't really matter ultimately. 

6. In the elevator room, I'd recommend making it all the way to the lever before doubling back and collecting everything. After getting past the counterweight, the next few coins are pretty hard to spot, so it's important to have some reference as to where they are.

7. High concept miscellaneous interactions is a bit wild, but it starts off at the door. You can collect the pretzel and knock down the broom early by crouching and just spam clicking in the general area, near the bottom right corner of the door. 

8. Once you get in, walk straight to the number pad. I personally only grab the one copper coin that's near the final step on the way, just because it becomes really difficult to find and collect on the way back. Start pressing numbers as soon as you can, then collect everything in the room. 

9. There's not much to this, I'd say it's important just to know the order that the phones ring. Also, none of the numbers really matter, but try to spam near the 9 key, as it's the only one that needs to be clicked quickly.

10. During the explosion sequence thingy, you can double back as soon as the narrator says "there, that's good".

11. Once everything's all done, double back and collect the rest of the pretzels and coins on the stairwell. 

12. Knock over the broom and eat the pretzel that you left behind earlier in the run, and then crouch near the center of the garage door to eat the pretzel behind the door early.

Enter The Heist Speedrun Guide

Hello! I will be telling you in the best detail I can how to do this game well in easy, simple bullet points.

• Start timer when you can move and the text disappears off screen. Try to navigate backwards to the door and turn around while the black screen is still fading out.
• Ring the doorbell ASAP. Be careful after the dialogue and stand to the left of the door as it opens outwards.
• When the dialogue "It's ringing." starts, by vigilant and pick up the phone somewhere midway in the word It's. This takes very precise timing to get perfect. Do this again on the word "things". You may need to do this twice if you get early.
• Go through the green door. It opens inwards again, you know what to do.
• Go up the stairs and down onto the table and onto the floor then go through the door straight ahead of the door you came through. It opens outwards.
• Flip the lever on the right immediately.
• Go through Wildlife Preparation. It opens outwards.
• Flip the lever on the right immediately, then go around the tiger cage and press the button twice.
• Go into Weather Control as soon as it opens. This one opens inwards so you can get right up against the door to get in.
• Spin the red valve in front of you.
• Turn back and press the yellow lightning button.
• Go into Elevator, which opens outwards, when it opens.
• Go down the stairs. After the dialogue "Don't move." is said, the down arrow will light up and you will need to press the switch immediately.
• Go left and crouch under the box that goes up to save time.
• Go up the stairs. Keep walking until you fall down into the Weather Control room.
• High Concept Miscellaneous Interactions opens inwards.
• Press a random number immediately.
• At this point, it really doesn't matter what number you press. Just repeatedly press a number while the narrator is reading out the codes.
• When the big spark happens and the tone sounds, go to the telephone lit up by the red light. When the Mac sound plays, pick up the phone.
• When the narrator starts to say "OK. Alright." press nine repeatedly. I'm not sure if it needs to be nine but do it just in case.
• Go over to the green telephone. It doesn't matter if the narrator is saying the code, just don't press anything. When the narrator says "Seven, two, left." pick up the telephone repeatedly.
• Go back to the exit and stay there until it opens. When it does open, go down the first flight of stairs and then a bit more forward, then turn around and go back up.
• Go over to the blue phone. Pick it up when you see the incoming call.
• Do what the narrator says and pull the lever when "Downpour" is lit. Be facing the lever and pull it when there is light shining on it.
• Go to Backstage, it opens inwards. The rest of the game is pretty simple. Stop the timer when you hear the door close.

Skipping Miscellaneous Interactions

-Complete the run as usual until you fall back into the weather room.

-When the stage manager opens the door, walk into the room but immediately back out so that the door closes, despite that you have not gone through.

-Walk to the right, into the red block, keeping close to inbounds to avoid falling out of bounds.

-To the right of the red block, you can walk into the end game room.
