Hi, I love the world of speedrunning but I haven't find my game yet. I saw a run in AGDQ of this game(I think the runner was PvtCb) and I totally loved the game. I have played every DMC and I think it can be the game to run but I can't find any guides. There is any guide for running this game ?

Hi ! Yes, the runner of this game at the AGDQ was PvtCb. First to be honest, here's my first time trying to speedrunning something by myself, but I'd like to continue and try it more again, and it's my first step. I love the DMC's serie too. This his why I try it. I don't know if some guides exist, but I think the best thing to learn how to speedrun a game is to see a lot of other speedruns of the game, like the speedruns of PvtCb, it can be a really good thing. But first, play to the game, like you want to play to it, to know the game more and more, play just like you want, and after this try to see with others videos to learn the strats of the speedrun.
The speedrun is too a big sharing in the community of a game between the players who practice it.

Im new also but if you need anything answered specifically about the run thats unclear dont be afraid to ask questions to PvtCb on twitter. Hes a nice guy and will most likely answer you. EDIT : you can also ask me on twitter but im only about halfway into learning the run.
Hello all! I am starting to run this game too, Nero/ Dante category, and I was wondering since this was basically the only category for the original, should I just watch videos for this category for that game to get tips? Also what kind of changes, bug fixes changed in this that I need to know about? I am super excited to run this game and I am glad that the community seems pretty active here! Thanks all :)
Keep in mind, the Special Edition increased the amount of Red Orbs and Proud Souls you get by a pretty significant %. I think it's upwards of 4 times the rate of the original, if I'm not mistaken. So this means that you'll have more opportunities to purchase Holy Waters and upgrade/buy new abilities with Proud Souls.

I’ll keep it brief but in terms of learning, there are 2 existing SDA runs that are worth watching as they are relatively clean, even if they are on vanilla 4.
