Leaderboards and Rules Updates

Happy news: leaderboards are now finally deemed unlocked! Here it follows a recap of the updates that have been made! You can read the rules fully in the dedicated sections.

Timer

• A new autosplitter has been written, which supports all categories depending on its settings;
• The timing rules have been changed for both the Full Game categories and the Individual Level ones;

Categories - Any% Croccante (old Any%)

• The old Any% category has been renamed to Any% Croccante and it's still alive;
• It's still played on the original version of the game;
• All the old runs have been retimed to follow the new timing rules;
• The new autosplitter is very much recommended, but not required;

Categories - Any% Freschissima

• A new Any% Freschissima category has been created, with the objective of achieving the minimum amount of unfair advantages for any runner over the others;
• It's played on a patch that has been made with the purpose of making the game run windowed at a constant framerate;
• The game must be run via Steam, enabling its FPS counter;
• The new autosplitter is required to be used to remove loads;

Leaderboards locked while we are finalizing work on:

• a new set of rules;
• a game setup that runs the game windowed at a constant framerate;
• a new loadless autosplitter.

This way both the game's performance and the loads won't be likely affecting times on the leaderboards, with the objective of achieving no unfair advantages for any runner over the others.

Since we couldn't actually lock the leaderboards, we are posting this news and we will be rejecting all the runs submitted from now on until the new announcement.

New runs will have to follow the new set of rules, so if you record one in the meantime it won't be valid in the future.
