NOTE: CBNK3D is also playable by installing the corresponding .sis file on a Symbian device (such as the Nokia N95), by emulating the Symbian with the EKA2L1 emulator or by owning a Zeebo console with the game installed!
CBNK3D on iOS has a few improvements over the aforementioned versions however, including more animations, reworked character icons, minor adjustments and two exclusive playable characters: Polar and Dingodile.
Requirements: -an iPhone/iPod/iPad of your choice, preferably an older model that supports iOS 7 or lower -a jailbreak program such as 3uTools or RedSn0w (-a way to downgrade your iOS version e.g. the tool Beehind)
In order to do this I recommend you have an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2. Make sure to jailbreak it (this depends on your iOS version and device - I've used 3uTools for an iPhone 4S but also managed to make it work with RedSn0w on an iPhone 3GS). There are several YouTube tutorials for these though sometimes you may have to google for some files. 3uTools is definitely the easier and cleaner way of doing things though. Open up Cydia and make sure to install OpenSSH. Use Beehind in order to downgrade the version of your iOS if it is too high. When creating your own custom IPSW, make sure to tick the boxes for "Jailbreak", "Install OpenSSH" and "Install Cydia". The tutorial for the general downgrading process can be found here:
If your iOS version is downgraded or already good to go (again, anything before iOS 8 should be alright) you can use 3uTools to install AppSync (in the Jailbreak tab) and then open up and install the .ipa file of CBNK2 and/or CBNK3D onto your connected device. If you're on iOS 7, make sure to navigate to CBNK3D's folder and delete the intro .mp4 file in order to be able to skip the intro without crashing the game. Alternatively you can just let the intro play out on its own every time you start the game.
Other possibilities than 3uTools to install the .ipa files (with varied amounts of success) are iFunBox, Cydia Impactor or some iTunes 'modifications'. I still recommend 3uTools though.
