This is a collection of practice saves for difficult moments in BL1 any%.

## IMPORTANT:

The save files are READ-ONLY. Once you save-quit, progress goes back to how it started.

This allows you to attempt the same part of the game forever.

Each save file has all the loot you need for each situation and have the skilltrees specced already.

All save files also have worse items, allowing you to make it more difficult, to simulate "Bad RNG". The Destroyer fight also has a backup weapon.

There are 14 saves numbered as follows:

1. Leveling sequence before Lost Cave
2. Lost Cave*
3. Sledge fight
4. Skagzilla fight
5. Mad Mel fight
6. Earl combat
7. Krom fight
8. Taylor Kobb fight (by car)
9. Rakk Hive fight
10. Old Haven for the Claptrap
11. Master McCloud fight**
12. Going through Crimson Fastness
13. Going through Crimson Enclave for the ECHO
14. Destroyer fight

- This is also read-only, so that you can practice the first few grenade kills against craw worms. You could also use it not read-only to practice farming, i guess.

**You still have to walk there :( Might make a practice map for this.

## HOW TO USE:

Drag the save files that you want to use into your save games folder, usually here:

"Documents\My Games\borderlands\savedata";

(check if they are read-only if you wanna be 100% sure)

Open the game;

Play the saves!

Any% Practice Saves (Blitz)

The Blitz save given with the mod download itself starts at "Skags At The Gate", and also has several very important challenges already completed (Conveyor of Death, What's In Here?, etc.).

This is annoying, so I've decided to make a completely fresh save to make the speedrun more consistent!

The save file starts at Fresh From The Bus just like everyone else. You get the same items that you normally would get when starting Blitz.

# Installation

- Download the save file!

**Make sure to remove the extra text between *"Save0191"* and *".sav"* in the filename.** The speedrun.com download adds that for some reason.

Keep this somewhere safe so that you can delete/overwrite the existing Blitz save whenever starting a new run.

- Extract it to "*Documents\my games\Borderlands\SaveData"*
- Run the game with Blitz!

You can also start in-game with a character like Roland, then swap your character Blitz with a keybind like this in WillowInput.ini (I have it set to F10)

Note that this does not spawn you with any weapons, but this eliminates having to copy the save file over every time.

### Side notes

Blitz has his own Globals changes (not required)

This affects loot beams (quest items are blue), lets you recall the turret and lets you airstrafe.

Open **WillowEngine.ini** and find this value:
