Hello everyone, this guide will help you on the basics of speedrunning Sengoku Basara Conquest Mode and getting good times within SB1 Conquest Mode.

First of All, The SRC Board focuses mainly on IGT (in game time), you get your IGT when you finish the Conquest Mode for each character (this picture as an example) (one of the best times for Kasuga for SB1)

Second of all, as for this guide is currently released, there is no separation between NG and NG+ in the SB1 SRC Page so NG+ is recommended for your speedrun which you can start the run at any level but Max Level is preferred for the runs and you can use any items for the speedrun but there are 3 main item sets that are heavily preferred for the speedruns (will explain later in the post)

So now you got the rundown for the some of basic stuff for SB1 Speedrunning , we can go over through the guide of Sengoku Basara Conquest Mode Speedrunning.

Sengoku Basara Conquest Mode Finishes at 6 Stages Minimum, you cant get lower than this, if you get one base left around the 5th stage you'll get Tower Defense (Most of Cast Except Oda and Akechi army which has Honno-ji as their 6th Stage so 5th Stage as your last is fine for Oda and Akechi Army) which will end your run, so better strategize and get through 6 Stages.

As for The Stages Here’s My Ranking of how fast the SB1 Stages are for Speedrunning as Fast as possible

Try your best to finish the stages as fast as possible, as which stages to avoid it’s Shimazu , Hojo and Tower Defense since their finish times are incredibly slow and destroy your time, as for the stages to always select, Date , Maedas , Takeda and Akechi Stages are generally the best stages to speedrun and are recommended to start with during the run.

As for Which character to run, each character has a starting route that is assigned in their starting location and when you defeat your first opponent, the other armies fight each other, the RNG for Armies fighting each other is different depends on your character, starting point and which army did you defeat, some characters are really lucky with starting positions and their RNG (for example Date/Sanada/Ninjas) and some characters have horrible positions and horrible RNG (for example Ranmaru and Matsu)

For Characters Weapon of Choice, it’s preferred to use 5th weapon or 6th Weapon depends on your character and it’s has to be in a good level in order to get big damage and defeat bosses faster and speaking of big damage, Crit is a major part of the speedrun for conquest mode because the Critical Hits for SB1 is x3 the attack rate of your character so dealing critical hits a big chunk of your opponents health and makes it easier to defeat your opponents and bosses.

As for which items to run with your weapon, there are three main item setups that is used for SB1 Conquest Mode Speedruns.

Setup 1 (All Movement Speed Scrolls) : this setup is used in nearly every SB1 Stage (except Date Stage and Uesugi 2) it’s boost your movement speed by a good chunk and it’s universal for SB1 Speedrunning (picture below is the All Movement Speeds Scrolls)

Setup 2 (Horse Setup A) : this Setup is only used in only two stages in the game which are Date and Uesugi 2 which is a Takeda Exclusive Stage in conquest mode, for this setup you run Horse Saddle to increase movement speed in horses, Attack Ring in order to increase attack to compensate for speed and Basara Gauge Replenish to start with Basara Gauge to use in the horse section of these stages, for Date Masamune you use the gauge to speed up and catch Masamune and defeat him, for Uesugi 2 you use it to reach to Uesugi Twice, once to reach and beat The Decoy and the other one to reach to Uesugi and beat him, This Setup is used throughout the entire roster except the Ninjas which have their own setup and Honda which he can’t ride a horse and flat out unable to speedrun Date Masamune Stage. (picture below is the Horse Setup A)Setup 3 (Horse Setup B): This Setup is only for The Ninjas (Kasuga and Sarutobi), this setup instead opted for Basara Art usage for a fraction of their health since their Basara Art are the best in SB1 and K.O all bosses in sight, so select it as necessary , the other two items which are Movement Speed for Horse and Basara Gauge Replenish are Explained in Horse Setup A, so go to that and read the info about it (Picture Below is Horse Setup B)
