Hey SquidGuardian and anyone else reading!
I like the guide and will be using it next time I feel like running. My plan is to discuss starts and refine the guide.
-
formatting. Your guide was comprehensible but maybe space things out like this post to make easier to read

1-5 strat. I've been experimenting with a strategy: beat level 1 and 2, stall level 3 for money, afford shotgun before level 4, afford level 1 shotgun before level 5 (no other upgrades). I have a very low success rate with this ~5% but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I've been finishing level 5 at about 2:20 on the dinogames version. Maybe you can try on CMG and tell me if its any faster.

laser? Is laser worth it even for the last level?
-
armor? at what points should we buy armor? other upgrades?
Hope other people jump in with strats they've been experimenting with and we can get this time as low as possible!
I cant talk for 4d9r because Im not them but imo, the strats regarding the economy arent very refined yet so its up to us to experiment with different routes. Also, different difficulties give different amounts of coins so the routes vary a lot which makes it harder to define strats as 2 or 3 routes have to be designed to be optimal
- Yeah, the formattings not great, I’m pretty new to guides.
- That’s an interesting idea, and I’ll be sure to test it out some time soon.
- Laser is only good if you have it maxed out because with the rocket you can insta-kill most enemies by spamming.
- It’s hard to tell a certain point when you should upgrade everything, but you can generally max out the two movement based upgrades and upgrade armor once before you get rocket, after that the only things you’ll be upgrading is armor and rocket so I just pick whichever one feels more useful. It depends on the run, because you get a different amount of coins in each one. Also, I haven’t thought of any strats quite yet, but a lot of the time that can come off of the record right now come from level 5 and rocket control later on.
"Other" will be removed from the CMG/FP category due to having no runs and no reason to exist.
If a version of the game is found with enough differences to warrant an extra variable, it will be added.
Thankyou.
