Can someone tell me what happened when I was speedrunning Spongebob's Pineapple

If you die while pouring Gary's food then the game will essentially think you're alive and dead at the same time so you end up softlocking from not being able to move but also not being able to restart.

Oh, I thought it was a rare moment in the game.
