I summited a wr run and it was rejected because the weather node I did was a short task. However I did my research and it said it was a long task. So I am confused. I also have current first place for backup because they did a weather node as there long task. and so I was wondering if the weather node was long or short.

Most weather nodes are long, with the exception of Node_CA and Node_MLG, which are considered short tasks due to how close they are to laboratory.

So 4 of the 6 weather nodes are long, and 2 of the 6 are short. The short nodes are MLG and CA. It's strange why they are this way, but that's why.
