Did anybody ever finish a route or run of this game?

I tried routing it out pretty close to release, and the fifteen billion trips through That Place With The Stampede With The Undodgable Fight You Can't Run From and the fiften billion trips past Super Porky and the numerous frustrating meaningless fights you can't run from made it just really unfun. The important exciting fights were few and far between, and the grind fights in between were repetitive and unneeded. I finished a pretty low-level run.

Then they patched in the ability to run and made it easier to stealth...and now its so far in the other direction. Dodging fights you don't want is child's play, and now the times you actually do any wrestling are even fewer and farther betwee.

Did anybody actually finish routing it out to have a baseline time? Did anybody find any tech to make the run more interesting? I'm just wondering if I'm missing a super skip that cuts this down to a reasonable time, because I was in the 2-3? hour territory when I just stopped routing. The run felt way too boring for that length.

It sucks so much because showcasing a great wrestling game at a live speedrunning event and giving people the chance to cheer would be SO MUCH FUN.

There's a discord for wrestling speedruns, and Wrestlequest is included. While nobody has made a guide, there currently is a $30 bounty on it. https://discord.gg/K8ejMSvVzc

What would the final estimate time for the full run be? I don't mind giving this game a shot but since I never actually finished it casually yet, I have to do that first. If it's in the 3-4h range then it's not a problem really. If it's any longer than that and there's lots of routing required, then I'll most likely pass

I'll have to find my notes and turn them into something someone other than me can read, and while I do that hopefully I can get a better guesstimate of a final time. I have notes for a route through the end of the game, but there's a big section where it's just like "yeah, you just kinda go forward and follow the prompts for a bit" that glosses over what I"m sure are boss fights.

If it's over 4 hours I don't think it will be by much, especially since the game has running and fewer encounters overall now. It honestly could be closer to three now. There were a lot of meaningless empty encounters, but I don't know if or when you run into an EXP problem now by skipping everything.

I do an optional side quest to get Muchacho Man an end-game tier weapon very early on. The drawback to this weapon is lower accuracy -- but accuracy only applies to standard attacks, which you generally shouldn't be using anyway. It ramps up his AOE damage to ridiculous numbers.

There's one boss fight in a beachfront city where you're stuck with two side characters that I remember getting almost hard-stuck on the last time I tried to route the game with the new "encounter rules", so that probably needs some attention in the routing. There's a fight later on where you have another sidecharacter by herself that gave me huge amounts of trouble in a casual playthrough, but I just skimmed my notes and I have somewhere to do a short grind for her then later on just don't have any notes on the boss fight, so I'm guessing my issue was more in being unprepared in the casual playthrough than it being actually difficult.
