The full route I use for Any% (Recent)

Tricks I use in any%

As of the time I first started writing this. I have finished quite possibly the first ever full any% of TWR2 in 8 Hours, 21 Minutes, and 10 Seconds. Here are all the tricks I have done to achieve this record!

# Death Warp

Once you finish the mission. You are forced to spend Gas to go back to base. But if you die after you finish. You actually warp straight back to base without using any Gasoline. Effectively halving the gas usage!

# UFO Cutscene Skip (PC Probably)

If you get the UFO encounter, you might want to get the Kidnapped by Aliens perk to increase move speed. But to do that, you need to watch a really long cutscene. But I found that when the cutscene starts, if you quit the game and reload. You end up skipping the cutscene altogether!!

# Force Enemies to Melee Constantly

Some enemies may have an extra attack that they do, but they always usually have a melee attack. I find that for most enemies, you can get close to them so that they initiate their melee attack. But if you stand back to dodge it and go close to them again. They will keep meleeing you constantly, stopping them from using their other attacks! I find this works well with The Killer and The Reaper in City of the Sun! As you can cheese them entirely!

# Miscellaneous

- Enter in the Code "Killzombie" to get 10 Rugby Grenades. These are useful during the early games as it has the same stats as Grenade Mk2 Extra
- Some cutscenes are unskippable. Which is the perfect time for you to go for a toilet break, as this leaderboard will include any downtimes where the speedrunner is AFK doing other stuff
- Do not be afraid to go out of your way to open up Crates or find buried Treasure Chests. You will need the amount of money they give you for the rest of the run!
- Although the Basic Shovel is free and available at the start of the game. Because of it's abysmal speed and the amount of Treasure Chests you are bound to find, it's better to sell the Basic Shovel and invest on an Iron Shovel instead
- Get the Runner perk and a few points in Max Health. If you death warp, the runner perk will trigger the moment you respawn. Giving you extra speed during the overworld map!
- Pick-me-up, Although doesn't synergize well with Runner, is an absolute game changer as it helps you skip out a few bandages
- Pyrotechnists is good for dealing with Zombie Hordes with a grenade and having that grenade have a chance of not being used. Since you are bound to run out of grenades during Springfield, it's best to get it early and maximize on it as much as possible so that you run out of grenades less
- NEVER buy any apartments. They are a waste of money and you would've completed all the missions in the area before they would ever pay themselves off
- Grenade Mk3 are good for dealing with late-end game raiders (City of the Sun and Northtown respectively). But because of their price, it's best to use them as sparingly as possible!
- I find that you can quickly exit loading screens by pressing Enter, as that does the same thing as pressing the Continue button. I even find that you can exit before the continue button even shows up! This saves a few frames each time you do it, but it does add up in the Any%
