Jeli Guide

The Jeli is an elusive Pinata that many players have trouble finding.

# How it works

After creating a new save file (on the name select menu), the game has a 1/3rd chance of assigning that save file as a Jeli file. The Jeli will only spawn on that file if and only if that file is a Jeli file, and it will always spawn on the first night the player reaches Level 6.

# Getting a Jeli File

### Emulator

To check if a save is a Jeli file, go to ram address 020BADEC and ensure that on the name selection screen, the value is 1. (If the value is 0, the Jeli will not spawn). If the value is not 1, then exit and return to the name selection screen again until it is. Once the value is 1, naming and creating your save file will ensure the Jeli should always spawn.

### Cartridge

Unfortunately there's no way to tell if a file is a Jeli file until Level 6. Simply play to level 6 and if the Jeli does not spawn on night 1, you did not get a Jeli file.

# Convenience (Important for Cartridge)

Upon obtaining a Jeli file, it's important to save and make a copy of it, since Jeli file status is carried when copying files.

On cartridge, when trying to obtain a Jeli file, create a new file and create a copy before starting your garden. Play one file, and if a Jeli spawns at Level 6, both files are Jeli files. For future runs, you can simply copy the extra file to guarantee the Jeli will spawn.
