Tserulean's Lich Queen% Walkthrough at 5-10-24

This is an explanation of the current Lich Queen% route to allow newer runners to understand what is going on in the run while watching the WR run. This guide isn't meant to be a catch-all without watching the run. This guide will change as new strategies are found.

Before even starting a run, there are some things to consider that will make you think.

- The current fastest Classpect is the Heir of Time. Time is, singlehandedly, the best aspect in the game. Time Distortion and Heir of Time's Boost stack to make your Attack Speed monstrous and basically allow you to solo Lich Queen with whatever random garbage you find around. Nearly any Time classpect is optimal but well-known ones are Heir and Mage. (I never got around to doing my Thief of Time run hahaha.) Heir is better than Mage because of the consistency that a flat and instant boost provides over a boost that scales off of something. 
- The fastest map, at the current, is Suburb. Suburb is a very small house to start with, meaning that you need to travel less distance to your guardian and back to open the game in the first place. It also features the sloped roof pieces that you can recycle for 3 Build Grist each. It doesn't sound like a lot but it stacks and it's very fast to just remove them all. 
- The most optimal outfit to wear to start a run is the Football Helmet, the Dersite Mask, the Bulletproof Vest, the Jeans, and the Vantablack Shoes. This provides you with the most defense as the starting character creator can give you and gives you a better chance of surviving.

Now that we've decided on those things, we can actually start the run. Below are the steps necessary to finish a Lich Queen% speedrun.

1. Start the game as normal. Name your character whatever you want and move from your bedroom to your guardian's room. On top of the safe in the back of the room is a wallet. You can apply this wallet to your Strife Specibus for cardkind and use it to beat up your guardian. Pressing Shift and Click at the same time will pick it up automatically. Grab the Sburb disc once it drops and put it into your computer.
2. Place the Cruxtruder, Totem Lathe, Alchemiter, and the Pre-Punched Card. You don't need to place the Punch Designex because you won't be using it in this run. While you're still on your computer, start to recycle the sloped, grey, pieces of the roof. Each piece costs three Build Grist and you need to recycle enough to get around 100 Build Grist. Now, go near your door and place the Launchpad on the ground. It costs 80 Build Grist, that's why we had to get to 100. Behind it, begin to build up by 17 or 18 layers to get to the The Third Gate. At the top, create a small platform and place something you can sit on, either a stool, a chair, or a toilet. As long as it's something you can interact with and will lock your position until you move. 
3. Continue the game as normal. Pry open your Cruxtruder and pick up your Pre-Punched Card as the animation plays. Grab a Cruxite Totem and put it and the Pre-Punched Card into the Totem Lathe. While the animation plays, open your menu and receive your level up from Level 0 to Level 1. Place the Carved Totem onto the Alchemiter and click "Create". While this is happening, stand near the Launchpad but not on it. Click on the Cruxite Item that drops and click "Enter".
4. Mash through your sprite's text, stand squarely on the Launchpad - it can be finicky - and click "Launch". Be ready to mash click on the seat that you placed at the top. Pressing Shift while clicking will automatically select the default option, making you get many more attempts at the trick than just one. You don't take fall damage from the Launchpad so you don't have to fall damage cancel using the Abjure option. Your sprite might also get in the way of it, it's really annoying and there's nothing we can do about it. If you get it right, your momentum will cancel and you'll be in the seat. Jump out and hop into the Third Gate. This will drop you outside of your Lich Queen's dungeon. Go inside.
5. Descend until you get to the room with the bouncer poles and the three liches. Instead of going through the middle door to go lower, to through the door to the side. It'll have three more liches, a few boxes, some chairs, and a chest that can spawn with some items. Jump onto the chest to avoid getting hit by any of the liches. If there is a weapon in there, grab it and equip it to your Strife Specibus. Anything's better than cardkind. If there isn't a weapon in this chest, don't worry, there's another chest coming up. Descend until you hit the large room with the ogre in it. Bait all the enemies into the room to the north and jump onto the chest to avoid getting hit. If you found a weapon in the first chest, no big deal. Kill them all. If you didn't, look through this chest and grab a weapon. It's really unlikely to find nothing in both chests but it's, hypothetically, possible. If there's really nothing, run's dead. If you do find a weapon here, equip it to your Strife Specibus and kill all the enemies you baited into this room. Go to Lich Queen and hop through the Transportalizer. 
6. Lich Queen Time. By standing at her left hip, you can start jumping up her left side and kind of sit on her hip. Activate your Time Distortion and your Boost and you'll take away nearly all of her health in one CD rotation. Let your abilities cool down and then do it again. As soon as the Lich Queen drops her grist and disappears, that's time.
