The password is a hexadecimal number with 5 characters. 

The first character determines which army you play as along with game difficulty. 

The second character appears to be unused. 

The third-fifth characters control ownership of territories. 

Below is a mapping of what each bit in the password represents:

So, for example, if you wanted to play as Temple on Easy difficulty, only controlling Vrast and Satit Island, you would get: 

0x80000 (Temple) + 0x40000 (easy) + 0x00040 (Vrast) + 0x00400 (Satit Island)

Which equals 0xC0440 (so you would enter C0440 in the password box)



As a more difficult example, say you wanted to be New Hope on Medium difficulty with full control of the north island as well as Yekor in the south, the password would be: 

0x00000 (New Hope) + 0x20000 (medium difficulty) + 0x00001 (Dutilos) + 0x00002 (Nemesit) + 0x00004 (Taxal) + 0x00008 (Morast) + 0x00010 (Lirin) + 0x00020 (Roho Beach) + 0x00200 (Yekor)
