Would it be worth it to have a different category for the deepest basement rework that came out on Feb. 20th? The new basement is much larger and more complex than the original. I've been looking at routes and it seems like it would be pretty fun to speedrun.
What would the best way to go about this be? Should the main "Survival%" category be changed to be the most recent version of the game? Or should we have a separate category like "BigBasement%" (or whatever, I'm bad at names) that would encompass runs on the current version, and leave the Survival% and previous records as they are, and just have people downpatch to a previous version if they want to contest them?
I'm not totally sure what the best solution is, but I thought I would bring it up as someone starting to get into full game runs now!
I have to look into it I haven't played the update yet, once I play it I will update here.
Just completed the new version, I will make a separate survival and 100% for this version. I will post on guide how to down patch for the current Survival Glitchless%, and others
Any chance of considering console runs? I see a no controller rule, but there's no great alternative for ps5 port.
I didn't realize there was a PS5 Version I will add a separate part for it. The reason why controller were ruled out was you were able to fly through the shake meter in no time, but it could be different for the new version.
@bigscared I did not realize how hard it was to add Platform - PC / PS5 then you would just select PS5 to view those runs but then next second all runs are orphaned the most stressful thing ever. but I did get platform to appear when submitting runs but its not on its own subcategory when I did add it to variables every run orphaned. I will still be trying to get the Platform to work like it is on Ironbark Lookout.
rad, thank you!! if you need help with backend stuff, I moderate a LOT of boards and would be happy to help you sort out runs that may need to be recategorized <3
(Old) = Old version or previous version, that did not include what's new. If there is anything with (OLD) on it it would require a down patch to be able to play.
There will be a guide on how to down patch, and on how to reset the new achievements for 100%.
