With patch 2.1, respawning to points outside of the starting location is impossible unless multiplayer is selected. I believe that speedruns should be "Multiplayer 'OFF'" but my desire to collect desired locations with "multiplayer 'ON'" is strong and currently I don't see a rule for it.

if you want to run latest patch. making a single player file with multiplayer on (which enables the other respawn points) i think is fine. there was no rule because its a recent change and all runs currently are on an earlier patch as they are Faster/ and or the catagory changed (tutorial). we got more info in the discord

I have been doing segmented runs for a while now. When I started a new segmented and saw I couldn't teleport I was devastated. It does affect my performance on my aging PC a bit, but it is still probably a huge timesave overall. Thanks for the reply on both my threads!
