Why there shouldn't be any more categories

Hello. I've seen several posts recently about threads that are suggesting to add new categories. Although I understand speaking your opinion, there shouldn't be more categories added.

As seen in this spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14qn0EqAOq4pksfyvifrh8qgtNS2f31LhYrMIqjSXYII/edit?usp=sharing), there are a grand total of 67 categories. Adding categories would just add even more questions on what to run, as well as giving more inactive categories.

Also, people seem to want IL leaderboards. However, not only would that add 32 additional categories, there is already a site that does that even better than speedrun.com can (mkwpp.com/mkw).

And if you do think you have a good idea, then please take it up with the category extensions (https://www.speedrun.com/mkwextracategories).

Thanks for reading!

IMO, there shouldn't be IL runs added (we have mkwrs for that) and most novelty categories should go to Category Extensions.

Anyone saying mkwrs is solid for ILs is not thinking straight it's literally only world records, any form of ranking or whatever is not on the site how it gets mentioned consistently every single time anyone mentions ILs on this site is mindblowing

If you want rankings, go to the MKW Players Page or some other ranking board, but not mkwrs lol
