1. TURNAROUND

2. DIAGONAL JUMP

If you jump diagonally, Mario will get more upwards velocity. For example, if Mario was looking up at this angle | Mario would get less upwards velocity. Instead, if he was looking up at this angle / Mario would get more upwards velocity, due to the games buggy style.
