Yes, this is common but difficult to use it consistently since it is frame perfect. Sometimes you might accidently trigger bunny hopping when you didn't intend it. While this seems a bit tricky to do so, it inevitably is the last resort to further optimize your runs in individual levels. I also used it in some of the levels.
