The effect I see in so many solo runs: the user seems to rotate the camera to gain an advantage. It seems to make them at least jump further if not be faster. Is the effect reproducible on a controller, or does speed running require mouse and keyboard to be competitive?
Straffing mid-air can probably be done on a controller however in a way less effective way. Mouse & Keyboard is definitely the best choice for speedrun also for the reason that bhoping is almost impossible with a controller.
I'd say i still don't get the perfect b hops on controller but i can get them a lot and pretty quick at the start. However they are a bit slower and take awhile to get a good one if your going for lets say sub 15 or 20 seconds to bottom elevator.
