A key aspect of Aurora Hills' suitability for speed running is its mechanics. What sets the game apart from many other puzzle games is its high average speed, and it doesn't try to appear slow like most puzzle and horror games. Moving around the target with the mouse only adds speed, with one click you walk a couple of meters, you literally feel like you are running. And lastly, the game is designed for speedrunning, for example, location 3, in theory you should go through it for quite a long time due to the abundance of puzzles. But knowing the password for one door reduces 1-1.5 hours of play by 20-30 seconds. And similar things can be done more than once. I'm sure that soon this game will become a hangout for speedrunners who settle for smaller games. (4-10 hours of normal playthrough.)
