Currently, only the newer version is allowed. However, this can be discussed here :) I would say danzel_glovington is the one to ask about the differences between the two games. If the differences are significant, a possibility would be to add a new leaderboard for the older version.

Thats's a good idea, I'm gonna rename the categories :) About creating new categories, the question should be : "does anyone want to speedrun it ?". Danzel told me he didn't want to speedrun full game random runs, and I abandoned the idea to do so because of the bugs in very very hard. Would you want to run it ?

I'd like to have a category that is the closest to a "natural" run, where the player really has to solve the puzzles. That is :

• 4% (all 16 zoombinis have to get to the end, and no use of campsites)
• Full random generation
• Maybe differentiate up path and down path ?

What do you think ? I'd like to give a try for very very hard, even though just getting to the end with 16 zoombinis is already quite challenging

Hey I made an autosplitter for the game, it's not completely finished, but here's what it's doing for now :

• starts automatically
• pauses when loading the start of the game
• pauses when loading a chapter
• pauses when menu is displayed
• splits at the end
• resets automatically

How to install it :

• Download the file
• Open LiveSplit
• Edit Layout > + > Control > Scriptable Auto Splitter
• Double click on Scriptable Auto Splitter > Browse > The location of the asl file > OK > OK
• Right click on LiveSplit window > Compare Against > Game Time

What needs to be improved :

• Need to stop when loading after a death
• Need to agree on when the timer starts exactly
• Need to agree on when is the last split exactly

When the autosplitter is completely done, the installation will be much easier (see Edit Splits window).

Please tell me if you encounter a bug !

I was wondering, why do you split after saving/bombing the princess ? I mean, this minigame is the only RNG of the game, so maybe it is wiser to split at the end of the last stage ? It's not like getting the good ending requires any skill :(

Hmm I think it's not that funny to do a decent any%, since most levels look the same and you have to learn by heart everything. Some levels have hard tricks also :o

Anyway, I'm gonna try doing an autosplitter, because I want precise times for each level :D
