I had not managed to climb through the first door like that, previously. Great find!
@Mrks_ We had our very own splitter made by rixls (who posted above).
It is not really possible to set splits wherever, but it does split at chapter breaks, creating 7 good splits in total. You can find info about it in the Discord for now, will probably add it to the SRC info once we are 100% sure it works as we want to.
It can also do load removals as of late, but we still rely on real world time for now.
Accidentally restored Lil_potatios removed comment, so I re-removed it, but it was nothing bad.
Higher volume next time, and remember to spin the chair up to full speed after landing (but timing stops when you land on the chair).
Make sure to have higher volume next time, if this was a top 10 run I would probably have rejected it due to the low volume of the video :)
Good job, certainly getting there!
Just submit the same run to Any% and we can approve it right away
Thanks for confirming! I just wanted to rule out any/both of you playing on 240Hz causing tiny speed increases or something. I will just have to finetune my movement in the second part, so I can catch up to you! :D
Yeah, I was thinking about creating one, but didn't want to push it if there wasn't any interest. I'll create on right away
I think it's hilarious that you can't break that if you have already damaged Patches.
In order to prevent this I always make sure to be over here after the first attack, so I don't end up on the other side (or inside...) of the wall.
@Ofce Exactly, it's only if you can get on it at 8:03 that they are in sync, after that they don't go back to that timing again.
Then it seems like it might be something else causing me to never get there in time, load times or just micro-failures in the route compared to you two.
Overall, I am somewhat shocked over the extended loads for some chapters as the game is only 300MB and I have the game installed on M2 SSDs (tried both of my M2s and even some 2.5" ssds and all had the same load times)
I'm running the game on a 144Hz screen and with 144~FPS ingame, I believe the game has an auto VSync force as there are no settings to be found ingame or in the game folders to configure it.
I would be interested in hearing from @Ofce and @CrispyGyoza about what monitor Hz and FPS they are running, as both of them can (semi-)consistently get on top of this platform at 8:03 on the timer which allows them a huge time save.
Perhaps, but as rixls said, it is also something that can be done just by playing and would that disqualify you from a glitchless run?
I think there's a distinction to be made about using abilities in unintended ways and outright glitches. Obviously it's up to the community at large, but I do think it's healthy to have a somewhat level of variation even in glitchless
I was not able to get an infinite flight, but I did stumble upon an unintended mechanic. To me, this would not be considered a glitch, as it's only replenishing the ability in an unintended way.
I present to you: Double Astral Flight (or DAF for short)
I don't think that killing yourself to get to skip the cutscene for Patches is to be considered a bug. Dying after the loading screen activates it, not necessarily dying to Patches.
@Aemiliana The theory about the rock walls while in the elevator might hold some water. I do remember one attempt when I was jumping around in the elevator and when I hit the rock wall on the right side of the elevator Sheepy kind of "poofed" for a second or so and then reappared, there was like a small burst of light when it happened and I have not seen that before or after
Very interesting, have you any tests footage you can share? As the game has no FPS settings I guess this will have to be done at GPU settings instead.
