thanks this really helps. I wasn't really talking about wrong warp room (because there are "many" ways to do it), but the 1st room took me a while. the 1st room could totally be optimized after the elevator and before the elevator there is (prob) a strat for getting x132 faster (but with the same set-up) but idk, im just here to try to help with stuff. but thanks it really helped

I made a TAS I think it looks "very lightning 4-2", I am wondering if it is. Also it looks to be rta viable if tweaked a bit (it also has some wiggle room(i think)).

updated i was running happy lee's SMBbot and this happend(im trying to say: smbBot found a softlock at 8-4)

Edit: all i wanna say is wierd softlocks are occuring for me also the soft lock above happend twice, one time i didnt edit the mem values using tye hex edittor (sry for grammer mistakes and typos)

yes, but (i think)(prob not) all of those mem valus are possible to get. tho i havent figured out how to get them without hex editor :(.

idk another way to give you guys the pics :(. also @Baconwastaken the other fastest way to get soft locked is at the 1-1 flagpole.

So I was playing around in smb1 and the hex editor tool(on fceux)and I found some memory values that will if done correctly SoftLock you like 20seconds before the wr. helpful stuff file download: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1EaWCASuI6o08koxz131AXD5A5qhsQhva , or https://github.com/UncleEnk/smb1-softlock-finding. How to do it: be lucky with the right memory values the die to the right goomba at the right spot. (may not be humanly possible I haven't looked far into it )
