Depends on the level but yes it's mostly right after the loading bar finishes and the mission starts
May just change it to Rare Replay in that case since it'll already be known it's Jetpac so no parenthesis part needed, Atari ST will definitely get removed after some deeper digging I realized that it's an unofficial UK Atari ST release with 50 something levels. VIC-20 doesn't appear to be an option but looks like BBC Micro is so I can add that, would be interesting if anyone actually has a beeb or an old commodore to run on lol
https://www.speedrun.com/requestgame be sure to carefully read over the rules first at the top
Comment about reformatting the board:
-
Any% is going to be changed into 16 Rocket (or if anyone else has a better suggestion for the name, Any% nor 100% seem fitting due to their being no actual end to the game) while a new category 8 Rocket will be added along with it due to the way enemy and ship cycles are.
-
Survival will be removed from the board. Avoiding enemies is far too simple in Jetpac and is a bit of a lazy category in general.
It's stated in the rules No Major Skips
- "Major Skips" include warps (this includes mapwarps and using bonuses to get through levels), Jumprolls, Superjumps, SJRs, Wrongwarps, Minecart Glitch, Boost Barrels in 1-5 and 4-1, and the wall clip at the end of Poison Pond. Essentially anything that deliberately skips a portion of a stage.
No Major Glitches -"Major Glitches" are: Jumprolls, Superjumps, SJRs, SFRs, Mapwarps, Wrongwarps, Minecart Glitch, Split-Up Glitch, Animal Buddy Glitch
You should message one of the mods for overcooked 2 about this and link the run to them as well https://www.speedrun.com/overcooked_2/run/z57jnxem rather than the category
Two things I noticed with the messaging dropdown, the first in the first DM, a snippet of the whatever the last message is doesn't show up for whatever reason, and second in the third DM the person I sent a message to who's name is ADG, only three characters, is cut off with an ellipsis (while a longer name like in the first DM isn't). In the actual messages section of speedrun.com the ellipsis cutoff isn't there but the message snippet from the first DM is still not appearing
edit: I also just noticed now that the ellipsis thing happens in a message snippet as well and seems to be tied to something being three characters or less probably
Just for the sake of publicly expressing the reason why it wasn't added to the site yet in the event anyone else sees this thread, we didn't give black ops 4 its own board due to it only having tutorials to run and 30 kill challenges. Instead it was put on the category extensions https://www.speedrun.com/cod_extensions#Black_Ops_IIII
Refuelled could work for ILs yeah, the rules would have to be though starting it from "REFUELLED FROM" in the main menu (aside from the initial 1-4) to stop anyone from bringing a surplus of bombs or laser upgrades into the series of levels they'd be running
An individual level leaderboard would be difficult to actually implement considering you can't just go straight to a given series of levels in Jetpac, an all levels category for refuelled would work, I'd need to see a run of it first before adding it to the board though
This would be something suited for the category extensions board, not here
When having both the "Separate load times" option and "In-game timer" option checked, an inconsistency occurs where on the board it'll display the first timing method as "Real time without loads" while the second is displayed as "Time with loads". On top of that, in the submission form it's displayed as "Time without loads" and "Time with loads". On a side note, it'd be cool to make the In-game timer selection category specific especially for boards that have categories like time trials or gauntlets where the In-game timer is only applicable there. It would lessen the timing method clutter displayed in the second image for the rest of the board. |
The last mission is the Horn of Monoblos, it unlocks the Hall of Heroes ending credits when you beat it
I think there should be a note under Times in milliseconds: that just turning it off after being used doesn't actually remove the milliseconds from runs, only hiding them, causing runs that should now be tied to still be separated in placement
While that's true you have the option to see other people's replays, it's obvious on screen since you have to go through the leaderboard to load that replay rather than sitting on the start board screen into the replay. Windowed mode wouldn't have any affect on that
Heads up post, self explanatory from the title, but I've thought about it a while now and been meaning to just remove this rule as it's not been necessary for the full game runs and was originally just meant for ILs due to their shortness and precision. I may remove the rule altogether though, if anyone has any thoughts feel free to share
