AustraliaI'm not going to weigh in on who, if anyone, cheated however I would like to be clear that I believe any accusation of cheating should have substantial proof (similar to what we have seen from 327 in regards to egg).
I understand that Vela and those who support you would be emotional (and rightly so) given that you have been accused of cheating. However throwing accusations at respected members of the speedrunning community Bender and Mekalb with no evidence is not going to get you anywhere.
With regards to LoD speedrunning (which I think we can all agree is far easier to cheat at) is there a possibility that diablo run or d2 interface could check to see if a specific program (i.e. slash diablo) is running and flag it?
I would also argue that the current 8man category is the most accurate simulation of a ladder reset - just watch what all 3 top teams did to start ladder - underleveled tele sorc then the sorc caught up in 15 minutes of cs runs while everyone else topped the leaderboards.
Part of the issue you will find here is that there is already so many categories - Simply p1, px, p8 (although p8 feels kinda dead) normal and hell runs is already 42 categories let alone all the extra categories we have added along the way (I'm guilty here too... I pioneered ng+)
Try turning off the load removal by wafu, it is not how we currently remove loads. Also, by IGT tool, do you mean diablorun.exe? That is the IGT tool you want.

Based on the (somewhat limited) success of the slash and stash event, I will be hosting another event.
The concept is pretty simple, a normal p1(px? open to runner input) run and runners can use any class - based on the chosen class runners will start at a different time (need to work out the finer details but have a pretty good idea of the offset).
Date for this is 6th May. The event will have a $275 prize pool distributed as follows:
1st - $100 2nd - $75 3rd - $50 4th & 5th - $25

The only way to get a jail setup is just to reset and run to jail constantly, this is a big reason why very few runners if any are grinding sorc on D2R. Somebody may be able to correct me on this but it is roughly 1/300 to get a jail setup.
If you want to get more jails in, quite a few runners skip den until after hitting 18 then run it. This is thought to be roughly as fast as if not faster than doing den at the start of the run.

I would like to invite anyone interested to participate in this slash and stash race starting at 19GMT on the 12/03/2022 (12th of March). (I am happy to discuss this start time with runners, please contact me through discord)
To those of you unfamiliar, slash and stash is a format where the runner must kill normal Baal with every class once and may use the shared stash to transfer gear found during the run between characters. The entire run takes around 10 - 12 hours for the top runners.
This run has a $450 USD prize pool which will be distributed as follows:

I'm no expert on Jail strats (or sorc) so take what I say with a grain of salt. Jail strats are very RNG dependent - I believe about 1/~50 to get the setup, so expect to reset a LOT for them.
You do want to be level 7 when you enter Jail, though I think your skill distribution is off. I believe you want to have level 1 static and frost nova when you reach level 6. Then put points into static(px strat only, p1 strat is to max frost nova) up to level 5 (1 point into telekinesis for faster waypointing). Max nova from level 12 onwards (or keep using frost nova if p1).
With the jail setup I would only check level 2 for a setup if the WP is very close to the entrance to level 2 and even then I would only check 1-2 tiles into level 2. Same with level 3 - only if the setup is really close to the exit to inner cloister would I take it.
There is no real resource on when to use /p8 and /p1, but it's pretty straightforward - if you want xp you are on /p8, if you are going through a dangerous area or want to kill an act boss you are on /p1. For the sorc I would recommend being /p8 until you reach level 18 and then /p1 until the end of the game (might want to go /p3 or /p5 or even /p8 in flayer jungle to get the last 2 levels).
If you want to play p1 though go right ahead, play what you enjoy, it's a game and you don't need us telling you what is the right and wrong way to have fun. That said... I find p1 too grindy for my taste so I mostly play px
