Basically you wanna wait -3.27, and do exactly what WR does. EXCEPT for you do sockfolder setup on the 2nd stair at the start of 5-2, and jump at the flag like for PL8-1. You also want to kill the bro in 5-2 to no get lag frames.
Waiting -3.27 gets you good bars and podoboos, as well as decent enough 5-3 patterns.
How in the piston honda IL record was the guy able to have the code be filled in right after he reset?
How would RT_1s be that time? 8-I on the Sockfolder ROM is 1 frame off of kosmic's 8-4 IL PB entering the last room.
You can also tell, it can't be that good, as he enters water with an 8-0, and I enter with an 8-2. I lose one frame, but his exit was extremely slow.
In Equanimity's beat 1-1 as fire mario, he mentioned that his in-game second thing was 1 lower. Mav retimed AndrewG's run to 25.167, but it wasn't ever changed on the LB.
So, it came to my attention that there are many different ways to do the pipe clip. There are two main ones, 1-20 blazit, and the pipe clip. Goofy found another method of clipping a while ago, and there are also many ways of getting good subpixels for the pipe clip.
This is 1-20 blazit, which if done quickly loses a framerule over doing the bottom pipe clip fast.
This is Goofy's method, which yields a 345. Saved about a second over the big mario clip, and maybe 5 or 6 framerules slower than optimal bottom pipe clip.
This is the main method, with if done optimally can save a framerule over my method and 1-20 blazit.
This is my method which is used to get good subpixels for the bottom pipe clip. Ties 1-20 blazit. Could make getting the clip slightly easier for some people.
This is the "slow" bottom pipe clip method which can be used to get good subpixels. Should save 1-2 framerules over Goofy's setup. Loses 4-5 framerules over "main" method?
I used turbo A for the 1f jumps. Do the level up to this point without slowing down for riding on the backwards riding elevator. 339 is faster than doing the WJ which yields a 337.
Supersonic and NickJ's runs don't make sense. If you subtract (NickJ-SuperSonic) you get 0.009.
So, here is the link to several videos of BBG setups. The titles basically describe then. The -X.XX is referring to wait on title screen without saving any "hard" framerules like FPG, 1-2g, fast 4-2, etc. 539 on pellson (optimal)
540 on pellson (optimal)
541 on pellson (un-optimal)
542 on pellson. You do not need to hit the koopa for this one, but I think it's easier to hit him then to jump around anyway. (optimal)

So, for Warpless All-Stars and MWE the times listed on that guide are outdated. I know any% all stars WR isn't on there yet, but I presume that's because it isn't verified yet.
I wanted to make a thread where you can post your own double wall jumps and when they happened. Mine was, I had a failed an all stars run, and thought this would be cool.
I want to do some 8-4ILs, and I would like to know the frame you enter 8-4 on. Then, I would simply subtract that from the amount of frames before axe. (And use bowser pattern+axe grab to get the time). Using -7.12, getting optimal BBG.
Could someone tell me what frame entering 8-4 you are if you get optimal BBG (no lag frame) using -7.12 and not losing time any where else? I would like to know, so I can use the spreadsheet to get the time I touch the axe (with frames lost on axe), and subtract the time entering 8-4.
My splits for livesplit are screwed, so I need new 458 splits. (I split in the "beginning of level" thing the pellsson ROM has an option for). It would be a great help if someone could throw me some splits.
Sooo, I was fooling around on the FPG rom RTA, and I realized I got D and & rotating in the center when I did a B release at the beginning of 4-1. I got to the end, and realized that I could align my self up by jumping a certain height at the end with the flagpole. I HAVE done this RTA. I explain the method at the end.
IDK if this is useful, and IDK if it would be easier or harder than Sockfolder setup. Somebody has probably found this before.
Also, can we call this setup "King Setup"?
You can jump from anywhere and for any amount that will get you the right angle at the flagpole. I have done it the way in the video, and by jumping from the top of the stairs.
If you hold "A" for a frame too little you get AF0, and a frame long is FF0
I'm wondering, what 8-X value would I need on the Sockfolder room, for the last room of 8-4, to be able to get a 458 with two frame setup. (at standard, low 459 pace)
What if, we had glitchless runs on the same leaderboard, but we used the run type thingy on speedrun.com. So, when you submit a run, the default would be any% or glitches, but you could also select glitchless. I don't think it would be a big issue for moving things over, since you could remove the TG rules one on CE, and have it with regular timing on this page. I don't think people would mind resubmitting their runs with updated timing, the mods wouldn't have to retime and move things over.
This is the tutorial I made for the setup, and I showed different ways of lining up for the FPG at the stairs. Edit: I did blazit's setup (delay 'B' press 3 frames, press on 4th) at the start of the level, and then I found a better way (in my opinion) to get the right angle for FPG!
If anyone could point me to a good 11 exit glitchless tutorial, it would be greatly appreciated, I'm new hear, and thought this should be a fun game to add to my speedruns list.
When do you guys think 455 is happening? I say Feb. 2019. When do you think 5th place will be 456? I think April this year.
