It's all about RNG now and I ain't going to grind that out. Unless @PeterAfro never surrenders.
Telltale Games, come on now boy. Nobody wants to see that crap.
We've started a discord channel, feel free to join!
I added it to resources as a "patch", so people know what they need, thanks!
You can download nGlide; http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide
And then use the MRacer_gld.exe
Only very old graphic cards can run the normal .exe I think :P
I'd be up for setting a bounty for a sub 40 minutes Easy Championship% in Millennium Racer.
I'll even provide the game and all of my current WR's as profiles to race against.
Hey all,
Since it is impossible to get A+ on Treetop Trouble, vould we update the A+ in the tabs to "Highest Grade" instead for individual levels (it says A+ now).
I'll recommend Millennium Racer, you could possibly learn it in 10 minutes.
I made a topic about it here; https://www.reddit.com/r/speedrun/comments/6tmfv0/speedrunning_starters_kit_for_millennium_racer/
There are abandonware games as well. Surely it counts as long as the version of the game is an originally released version/patch and that patch is included in the information when submitting the run.
Abandonware is ofcourse a special case, but still.
@KomradeKontroll I tried Twitter but he doesn't allow anyone to send him any (private) messages, not on Twitter nor on Twitch.
@ROMaster2 That makes sense, I had checked both his channels and it seems like he hasn't been online in atleast a year. Thanks for the info.
I'd like to become moderator for Section 8: Prejudice http://www.speedrun.com/s8p
Tyurru92 hasn't been on YT for years and his last Twitch broadcast was over 2 years ago.
Kyuketsuki is unreachable on Twitter and Twitch as he has everything set to private.
There's some very noticeable differences between the PC and Dreamcast version. For speedrunning the biggest differences are that tapping the boost button on Dreamcast does not reduce the speed at which speed decreases.
This results in skips being much more useful for the Dreamcast version. The skips work in the same manner as for the PC version, you have several seconds before the screens faded to black and places you on last on-track position, so you have to do the skips fast.
For the Dreamcast, being on the Golden paths is practically always better than being on the road, unlike on the PC version (because of the boost tap). So if you're running on Dreamcast, use Golden path routes.
I've only tried it on an emulator so far but the differences are definitely noticeable.
I extended it and will definitely be doing that 3 Lap - No A.I. run :D
It might make this constant restarting more bearable if it doesn't take so long to get to the next track.
Thanks ToRRent, I think it'll help with people who don't want to do full game runs if we have some categories that are just "Best Lap" or "Best Track" without A.I.
Especially because A.I. problems can happen :P
If you want me to do that it, that's fine too.
I think it'd be nice to also have Best Laps for each track, best times for track seperately (3, 5 and 7 laps), which follow the "custom race" mode.
