Welcome, this is GamingLand's Marathon Catastrophe! This marathon is being organized by myself, and some friends. This marathon will be taking place the second weekend of March, which is March 9th and March 10th of 2019.

Submissions can be of anything. Normal runs, races, bingo, TASes, exhibitions, etc. Submissions are set to close on February 9th, a month before the marathon.

We will be supporting ASPCA, or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Our goal is $50!

I think it would be neat if we were allowed to enter sub-categories for marathons. Right now you can only submit regular categories to marathons, and not sub-categories.

When submitting to marathons, some games I submit aren't recognized as games on SRC by the marathon page, so I have to fill in extra boxes, for the leaderboard link, original platform release, and game name on Twitch. For example: https://imgur.com/a/pdY4i70

(This is at least what happened to me when I tried to do that) If you try to delete a user's posts through their "Forum Posts" section, it'll give you an error that says "You do not have permission to delete this post". So yeah, regular mods still can't delete other's posts.

@Liv I use chrome, except it only happens to me when I press the cancel button when rejecting a run.

@JustLeeBelmont The mod for that game was last on 6 days ago. Talk with him about it.

Not really ruining it. Anyone who's not a garbage troll can still get in just fine.

Yeah, so, if you wanna join the Wii Series Speedrunning Discord, you have to contact @Cmdr , @Plyd823, or @Bandow2000 , on Discord. The reason for this is because of a troll joining with alt. accounts and excessively pinging people (Not gonna name names because I'm not gonna give him attention and let other people give him attention). Personally, I dislike the amount of security that has been put on the server, but I don't make the rules.

I assume you're talking about the trick called Bruncheon. It's not that it's not allowed, it's that it isn't viable. It isn't viable in Any% because the Odyssey doesn't spawn in Luncheon Kingdom when you do Bruncheon to reach Luncheon Kingdom early. Thus, you'd have no way of progressing the game. This trick is viable in Star% because there's a painting in Luncheon you can access at any time, and it takes you directly to the star you need to collect.
