its actually against the rules to use keucher mod in a speedrun that you're submitting to the leaderboards, definitely just use the vanilla game. keucher mod is a practice tool, not meant for full speedruns.

Yeah, SMB1 just seems too simple for ACE/world skip wrong warps. If that were to be possible, it would have to be done with a memory corruption glitch that is a problem with the hardware instead of the software. I could be wrong though.

I think that if it ever is added (which there is a high probability it isn't), it will be a category extension. If you want though, you can speedrun it without a speedrun.com leaderboard. Also, there are romhacks that do this. See a recent thread for the download to one of those.

In 8-4 there are no framerules, every frame counts. It's not like after lightning 4-2 is added there is no way to improve anymore, you could still get a better time if you have a better 8-4. 8-4 is super hard to do perfectly, so don't worry about the world record becoming perfect for at least the next decade or two.

Retroarch is not allowed, no android emulators are.

I don't think you can do FPG, but I think you can do something better. If you kick the koopa shell towards the flagpole then land on it in a specific spot, you can clip super low into the flagpole and get pushed out to the left side, saving in and round 2 seconds. That's called FFPG, or Fukk Flagpole Glitchs,. It's the same thing as BBG, excapt with a koopa shell.

People have tested it so much, there is a very real possibility that ffpg just isn't doable.

It all depends on what frame you enter the room. Try to go maybe a frame faster somewhere in 8-4 (I assume that's where the podoboo is for you), or save a framerule somewhere else.

Bullet bills depend on what framerule you arrive in the level, how fast you get through the level, what enemies you bop etc.
