could we get some new categories for this game? as in Battles and Hero Battles for the 4 different maps, and Survival on the 3 different maps, also making them have 2+ players online and local?

For the survival map i agree but for hero battle idk ennemy spawn are so random

I'd be up for an Battles and Hero Battles run.

Maybe a Skirmish speedrun category could also be good

i know that id like to do some hero battles runs. spawns and ai are random af but i still wanna try. i got a 3:30 master using bossk, and i can tell that it's a very weak run. would like competition.

I play on console, ik this game is rlly dead rn, but the records that are set for survival are done in an old patch, the best I can do(best out of the other console speedrunners) for Survival on Rebel Depot on hard is 13:38(it might have been dropped lower as I haven't checked in a while). When viewing the current 'record' the gameplay is not fast or precise with no strategies used to save time. I severely doubt any1 will see this but if someone does(like an admin) is there a possibility for subcategories to be added for specific patches? also I couldn't ever clip 10+mins on my xbox, so if I upload a record for proof of my point it would only be the last 3mins or so.

I have noticed this, there are differences between the consoles and PC, FOV changes spawn rates in some cases for maps like Endor and Sullust I have noticed. And the Xbox Series X upgrade to 120 FPS is a massive advantage over Xbox One, PS4 and PS5. To have these on the same boards is ridiculous. Not to mention PC being able to skip dialogue in certain missions.

Really put me off wanting to run this not gonna lie. Mod will you listen?

Just split the board to have PC, Xbox one/PS4 and PS5/XboxSeies. Most games that have massive differences like this split them! A prime example is the Resident Evil series and Mario, even Call Of Duty.

Make the boards fair please!

I've noticed that the FPS between consoles like Xbox Series X and PS5 are vastly different, with Series X having 120 FPS and PS5 only having 60 FPS. I know not many people are playing this but we should have a fairer division between the differences between consoles. I believe making separate categories is a natural way to go about making the runs fairer for everyone. So I would ask the moderator to put this in so we can have a fairer competition! :)

I think the only mod is inactive because it says on his account that he hasn't even visited the battlefront page in 5 years. and the last game he visited was four years ago. Unless there are more moderators i dont think new catagories for console and PC are possible

Thankfully Lehcats is active, but I hope console and PC split becomes a thing, because me and 3 other runners have noticed some big differences for PS5, Xbox series X and PC versions, so I think it should be split as the differences are too big to ignore.

I'm giving up on speedrunning for this game, Lehcats seems to want to keep the boards singular despite massive amounts of people wanting split console and pc boards. He also gives into pressure from streamers to add categories nobody even asked about. Until the boards are split I will be leaving this game. Lehcats is free to re-add the splits TheLouieCopeland made; but considering how long it takes for him to even respond to anyone here I take it that this won't be happening.

Same I will no longer be running, shame the game is fun to run, but I will be doing the same until the changes that “I” received compliments on gets added back!

While I’m not a runner of this game, I can see that something clearly isn’t right here. Lehcats, if you’re seeing this, these runners here deserve at least an explanation as to why you do not want the boards to be changed. It just comes across as an abuse of your powers, rather than for the benefit of the runners.

I am a xbox player here as well, I was informed of the changes that was made. And I just started playing SWBF '15. April 5th, the house was going to start getting quieter for a month and I was planning on doing more frequent streams. And this was a game I was planning on practicing for. Kind of sad that this happened and its in this situation now.

Competing with other devices that have a overall advantage over others makes running the game not fun when you know you cannot get a better time. Hopefully this changes back to what it was before.

PC will still be top WR for their categories and vice versa for other devices. How hard is that to comprehend? It shouldnt be.

Just seems like the community could have got bigger, that's upsetting that people are deciding against running the game now, because of the boards being unfair.
