Hey all, just quickly letting you all know that I've added the Secret Ending to our ILs. The run will be very different based on platform, as PC players can only get the ending through save file editing. Console players get to use the hidden developer room for the ending. I've tried to make the rules as clear as possible but if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Please be very, very careful that you don't accidentally reveal personal information through File Explorer if you do the PC run.

Nearly doxxed myself lmao. To hide the username part of the file path, get your file explorer window to whatever size your prefer then click and drag the search bar towards the address bar to expand the search bar. You can make it so there's no space for the username part of the path.

quick question: would something like this be allowed? Since we're already altering the save file (I'm fine either way)

Honestly I love this so absolutely yes unless we get a lot of objections. With PC runs I see the secret ending as just a silly little miscellaneous category so I don't see the harm in going all in on timesave.

Question: would it be allowed to have the word "secret" copied on your PC before the run begins, that way when you go in and edit the files you can just use the paste shortcut? I think it would be a very small timesave. But since it requires doing something before the run I wondered if it would be allowed.

I'm in two minds about that but I think I lean towards allowing it for accessibility reasons. Since we're allowing a shortcut to the save file location anyway I think we can consider a pre-typed word just another little bit of prep.

If copy paste such as the word secret is allowed, could we have the text from the completed document with the edits saved to the clipboard? So the only file trouble we would need to worry about would be Ctrl + A -> Ctrl + V -> Ctrl + S and back into the game?

Also another note, the Dev room is accessible on PC platforms! I found this waaaay early during Any% runs but since the time ended when the actual ending cutscene finished I scrapped it. I can upload a video showing how to get there if that's something that you would maybe want to split into two categories? One being with save file editing and the other without

I'm inclined to allow the full edited text document to be copied ahead of time now I think. It is just a silly little extra category on PC so I do think it would be cool to see just how fast someone can do it while pulling out all the stops. But I still think that opening the document should be done during the run because it just feels odd for that to be open ahead of time unless someone wants to argue in favour of that.
