This game is a buggy mess and crashes all the time. The most common crash is the infinite loading screen which can occur at any loading screen and is really frustrating. To fix this first try turning of Lockstep mode in the graphics options and apply the 4GB patch (linked in resources). If this does not fix the issue also try to run the game in windowed mode by changing the launch options of the .exe file. The steam discussions also contain some useful threads. If you run this game and use OBS to record you have to use Screen recording and not Window or Game recording otherwise the game will crash during the transition from the Ego Draconis part to the Flames of Vengeance part. This is likely due to the Ego Draconis part getting closed and the FoV part being opened as a new game.
