I've been comparing timings and it seems like bunnyhoping vs just sprinting without jumping is no difference at all, and imo bunnyhopping makes it a bit harder in some sections to pick up pictures or take pictures. Is there even the tiniest difference in speed? If it saves a few seconds over the course of a run it's worth it but if there's no difference I think it's kind of a hinderance. The only place it seems to really matter is on levels with long slopes like in the duck area where you start to gain a bit of momentum by jumping and falling down the slope, and it seems to make it a bit faster while going up slopes as well. But on level ground it doesn't appear to make any difference.

I've been wondering this too! I think you're right, only slopes/stairs really seem to benefit from being jumped up/down with no difference on flat ground. Jumping could also help with difficult picture grabs potentially? The pic on the table in room 4 is finnicky for me to get, maybe well timed jumps could make it more consistent even if it's not a very significant use. Idk just thinking out loud :p

I just do it because its fun and a habit I have, doesn't really seem to increase your momentum but it does make going up slopes/stairs faster
