United Statesgoing to need a bit more detail, but you dont get hacked if the game is in an enemy state, based on your information that you're playing 1337 mode, it is likely that you've already died and missed lucas's audio queue, therefore you will not be getting hacked when your run is dead even though you're technically still alive.

Within the next few weeks I will be reviewing all runs with https://slashinfty.github.io/yt-frame-timer/ and https://vidtimer.com to ensure the integrity of the leaderboard. As some of you may be aware, prior to the new world record as of 05/06/2023, the top 2 competing final times were less than a second apart. With more people joining the speed running community of this game, this seems like a necessary action. In the spirit of fairness, I will be publicly publishing the two frames that will be used when timing runs, (notepad frame and noir grab), and will be going through every run on the leaderboard within the next few weeks with a proper re-time as a mod comment.

current patch significantly decreases the ability of the runner to perform a force-hack, therefore the recommended patch version is best for speedrunning the Any% front page category. The current record in current patch recorded I believe is held by divineshadow, showing a significant time decrease between using the recommended patch and the current patch downloaded from steam directly.
As far as I know, the game is only available through Steam. The game is compatible for Windows and OSX operating systems. I'm not aware of any way to download this game without Steam.
