visuals is probably not the right word. the room acts the same, but your location on the overall map is different. in that last video i posted, i went up in the bottom right room (red arrow) and ended up in the top left room (blue arrow)

i would imagine any diagonal movement is just two cardinal movements together. also, from my understanding, while doing anything related to this glitch there is a heavy desync between the room you think you're in and the room you're actually in. for example, you can probably get into this nonexistent room with a different room's visuals on the screen

this could probably be done 15-20s faster?

maybe something like this? i can get horizontal stuff pretty frequently but vertical is weird

not too sure about the route because i still haven't gotten around to learning it yet but i think if there's somewhere where this has potential to save 10 or so seconds it could be made consistent enough to be worth it

nowhere in the 100% rules does it mention you can't go oob, right

I wasn't planning on doing 100% until after sub 2:30, but I guess I can learn the route for fun. We'll see how it goes. Also, if you have specific questions about oob we might be more likely to be able to answer it, but who knows with that glitch lol

alright, I've officially burnt out. hope I can find the motivation to get back into it in a few months, but damn this skip is discouraging

I think the weirdest thing I've noticed doing oob is that sometimes you'll get left in what looks like a normal room, but when you try to leave you screenwrap, then if you try to leave again it works normally. sounds pretty similar to what you said but man I just don't know

ah, for reference these 9 attempts were just in my latest grind. in total, I've had 18 attempts make it past the pole, in about 23 hours or so. I'm starting to lose track of the time :/ anyway, that kinda makes sense for the glitch. About saving 20s, do you clip directly into the room where you fall into lava? has anyone recorded this happening? i know you can get into the room right before jungle by clipping in the top right of this https://gyazo.com/af15e812f785ab1b62c99817101d0061 room.

ngl dude, i'm not consistent either lol. again, I've gotten 9 attempts past the pole in 11 or so hours, that's why my runs are always so sloppy past it. thanks for the congrats

sorry if this is something you've all already seen but, i got the overworld glitch, but not in a corner? am I missing something or is this just very wrong
