Hey all, Sm4sh and me have come to an agreement for proposing to seperate wii mote and controller players from single segment runs.
Wii mote probably will stay as the default view because it is still the fastest out of the 2 so it will basically be a subcatagory.
Subcatagories -Wii mote( or Wii mote + controller) -Controller
This will allow for players to be more on a equalized playing field if we get enough people to want this as well (atleast %51 of the runners have to like the thread)

1st of all in order to make that change we had consent of alot of runners because keyboard/controllers is a big difference. Most serious runners are on pc as well and not many people on console have been complaining about it.
Alright we have enough people that want the Structure of SS to change into keyboard and controller we needed atleast 30% of players to agree with this. (22 out of 72 SSs players) Considering that there is no opposition and it's very difficult to get 51% right now (with runs from several years ago and retired players).

With TSC submissions being down since March and the site's infrastructure growing more outdated by the second, it's finally time to put some IL leaderboards up here
This thread will let you know what has been changed for this game, in case you're not in the Sonic Speedrunning discord server. Finished updating the game want to hear some opinions on the IL boards if people have any or suggestions.

Control Filter For full game runs there is a new filter added for what control scheme you use if you play both controller and wii mote just pick wii mote because wii mote has access to a few exclusive skips while controller runners are more limited.

IL boards They have been added and you can submit to it in 3 days
Glitched and No Ultra Skip (explained in the rules and some stages have more specified skips banned in their rules)
Stage IL/ lap IL will be split into 2 sections and the control schemes a well (controller/wiimote)
- Emulator submissions IL exclusive rules
In the case of using emulators:

Only PCSX2 and dolphin emulator are allowed.

No replay of your earlier attempt allowed to be submitted.

i see yea that might be a better option atleast its beeing considered i just thought making it a single segment main catagory because of how long some of them are
