Going to share some short games, some of which I mod and/or ran before:
https://www.speedrun.com/disneys_party_gba Basically, Any% involves selecting the 1 Day option so that you only play one board, wasting 12 turns as fast as possible, and then fighting the final boss. You can hold start(?) to speed through dialogue and hold A to speed up the dice. You could also run any IL. They're very short, but you have to unlock them but successfully completing an attraction (mini-game) in party mode (you have to land on a space to play the mini-game). Emulators are allowed. mGBA & BizHawk are recommended. Should probably take around 10 minutes if you've never played before.
https://www.speedrun.com/gmd Many short categories to choose from:
- 5 Rated Levels: Shortest category in the game. Beat any five star-rated user levels. Recommended levels are Stageix, BdoubleO, Weightlessness, Geass, & Demons. They may take some practice, but each level is less than 30 seconds.
- 1-8, Any%: The classic. Most players can successfully do deathless runs of this. Playing the free version of the game is allowed for this category.
- Gauntlets: Basically, these are sets of 5 levels. Each is less than 10 minutes deathless.
- Moving Obstacles II: This is found in ILs. You basically control both the cube and the stage and race for an in-game time.
https://www.speedrun.com/geometry_dash_meltdown https://www.speedrun.com/geometry_dash_subzero https://www.speedrun.com/geometry_dash_world First two are less than 5 minutes, last one is 6 minutes long. Turn on airplane mode to disable ads.
https://www.speedrun.com/rtue#Old_Revenge Set of short Undertale fangames. Old Revenge & Disbelief are the easiest categories (from my experience), with Disbelief (Spare), being the shortest. All are about 3 minutes, Spare is less than 1.5.
https://www.speedrun.com/ccf Basically Minecraft Classic.
https://www.speedrun.com/titol Every game from this series is short enough. Not sure how to get some of them working because of Flash player being taken down, but you can join the Discord and ask for help.
https://www.speedrun.com/labyrinth_2/full_game Lite Levels is the shortest category, featuring X level packs, and is played on the free version of the game. If you can find an APK of the full Android version of the game, you can jump straight into Kindergarten, the shortest level pack of the game (20 seconds).
https://www.speedrun.com/the_cube APKs of the mobile version exist. The game is really short, but it's so so so so so bad. Please take my word for it.
https://www.speedrun.com/dt I'd be a fool to not recommend this classic. A little bit of practice and you can complete this in under 10 minutes.
https://www.speedrun.com/disneys_party Minigame Mode: Win one minigame. lol
https://www.speedrun.com/marioparty9 Time Attack should take about 10 minutes.
https://www.speedrun.com/sik I guess all of these are short. I only played Space Is Key Hell. They're all webgames though.
I feel like there's more I can add. Might update this later. Sorry if this list is a little too long. XP
Hey all. Thought it'd be fun idea if we all shared the first runs we ever submitted to the site. Feel free to link your run and even talk about what you did in it or how you improved. I'll start. Hopefully more people join. :)
https://www.speedrun.com/skylanders_swap_force/run/m35rj56y This is an IL run of the first level in Skylanders: Swap Force, my beloved childhood game that I've been frequently speedrunning since December 2019. At the time, the Wii categories were empty, save for two runs of the same IL. I was able to beat both by using the fastest character in the game. In August 2020, Kory Skip was discovered, skipping one enemy fight sequence in the level. Since then, I've improved the IL by 41 seconds with the use of this skip, more optimized movement, and faster enemy fights.
That would be because the board's default timing method is real time. Real time is used in full-game, but IGT is used for ILs, which is why no ILs appear.
Another example of this, but the opposite. IGT is the default timing method, which full-game doesn't use, so no full-game runs appear. https://www.speedrun.com/skylanders_trap_team/gamestats
My two cents: I've never heard about this game at all. It doesn't seem to be noteworthy, given the little relevance it has, therefore, it's considered trivial.
Bumping bc I don't want this thread to be covered by other threads.
Someone just tried to submit a Geometry Dash run but they just blatantly put the video from third place in the video link. Didn't even try to hide it at all. Absolutely shameless.
As we said before, you should talk to moderators of the game about this. I don't think a lot of the users in the forums have played or speedran God of War, so even with the evidence you'll claim to bring, we would be unable to do anything about it.
Also, fair.
I mean to be fair, random users being added as mods wouldn't occur if there were no inactive mods for the game in the first place.
