I am planning on getting a copy of the game for my Nintendo 64 collection and I currently don't have a splitter cable for my converter box which means I have to play the game with around half a second of delay with most games through my PC.

Is recording the screen with a camera valid for runs considering splitter cables are hard to come by locally without online shopping?

I am currently trying to speedrun the N64 version of the game, and I want to know what is considered In-Game Time so I can more accurately label any run that I may submit.
