For newer players wanting to know where you can find certain specific upgrade locations here you go. Every level has 3 upgrade chips, this is the list of what you can expect to find your upgrades (Mainly a great thing for routers of Any% , but also nice for getting all upgrades needed for NG+)

Weapons

Zytron Blaster Tier 1: Available from the start. Tier 2: Stage 2 Tier 3: Stage 4

Laser Reactor Tier 1: Obtained after defeating the mid-boss in Stage 2. Tier 2: Stage 3 Tier 3: Stage 1 (Not obtainable on the first playthrough)

Wave Emitter Tier 1: Obtained after defeating the Stage 4 boss. Tier 2: Stage 5 Tier 3: Stage 6

Abilities

Solar Strike/Power Infusion Tier 1: Available from the start. Tier 2: Stage 4 Tier 3: Obtained after defeating the Stage 5 boss.

Repair Tier 1: Obtained after defeating the mid-boss in Stage 1. Tier 2: Stage 3 Tier 3: Stage 1 (Not obtainable on the first playthrough)

Blazing Fist/Bombard Tier 1: Obtained after defeating the Stage 1 boss. Tier 2: Stage 2 Tier 3: Obtained after defeating the mid-boss in Stage 6.

Armor

Dash/Roll Tier 1: Available from the start. Tier 2: Stage 2 Tier 3: Stage 6

Air Boost/Hover Boost Tier 1: Obtained after defeating the Stage 2 boss. Tier 2: Stage 3 Tier 3: Stage 5 (Not obtainable on the first playthrough)

Extra Protection Tier 1: Obtained after defeating the mid-boss in Stage 3. Tier 2: Stage 5 Tier 3: Stage 7

Prototype Suit/Fusion Form Tier 1: Obtained shortly after defeating the mid-boss in Stage 4. Tier 2: Stage 1 (Not obtainable on the first playthrough) Tier 3: Stage 7 (Not obtainable on the first playthrough (Ares))
