United StatesIt's been a while so I can't remember off the top of my head, but most relevant tricks (ex. Temple Skip, OoB, Photo Jump, Palace Sequence Break, etc.) are fixed from v1.2 onward. There's a few like Galerius Skip and Duli Key Swipe that still work post-patch, but there's only a few.
There's a Downpatch Guide in the Guides section that goes through how to downpatch to v1.0 or 1.1.

The 9/2/2022 patch added a console command to skip cutscenes. Here's a guide how to activate it: https://www.speedrun.com/hell_pie/guide/rsb0y
The leaderboard now has a "Cutscene Skip" variable. All existing runs up to now have been set to "No" by default. If you have an existing run that you are exceptionally proud of and would like it manually re-timed with cutscenes removed, either message me, or go to your run and re-submit it with a note saying you want it re-timed with cutscenes removed. (This takes a while to do, so do consider just completing a brand new run instead.)

With the new patch out, I've elected to split 18 Ing by version. Although the optimal routes are the same on each version, the added difficulty of needing to do extra wallclips on the new patch, as well as No Major Glitches needing to use a glitch on the new patch, not to mention the slower autosave times, I've decided the version category split is necessary.
For right now, only 18 Ing is split by version number. However, if other categories need a version split, or could use a split for Any%/NMG, let me know and I'll add those categories as needed.

You may now submit runs for Any%. Be sure to check the Resources tab to download the Load Remover to use in Livesplit. If you have any issues with the load remover, please report them to me.

(Holding off on 100% for right now since I'm personally not familiar with all the nuances of what's required/not required for 100% completion.)

The autosplitter was never updated for 1.2.4, so not surprising that it doesn't work. I doubt there's any benefit to playing on 1.2.4 vs the older versions, so it'd probably be easier to help you get the downpatcher working for you lol.
Right click on Livesplit and click on Settings, then make sure Global Hotkeys is checkmarked. Then you should be able to split even while not focused on Livesplit. (You can also configure the hotkeys in this menu.)
That autosplitter doesn't work right, so don't use it. (Not even sure who Andersama is lol). There isn't a working autosplitter to the best of my knowledge, so you'll need to split manually.
I agree it'd be nice if we could just cut time early, but in the end I don't think ending the game at an arbitrary point is the best idea. Especially when there are theoretical skips to save time during the finale (ex. the Magnificus fight ends when the music ends, so finding a way to cut the music early could be possible.) Plus it's still possible to make mistakes and lose time in the Grimora/2d whitespace part.
I'm just thankful it's at the end of the run (so I can just quit out if I'm not on PB pace), as opposed to the middle or the beginning lol.
If you go to C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Inscryption you can open the SaveFile.gwsave file in Notepad. Line 4 has the seed number (ex: 1859196093) which you can then change to whatever your desired seed is.
Before you start your run, you'll want to do the beginning tutorial up until Leshy says "YOU WERE LOST DEEP IN THE FOREST..." and the save icon appears in the bottom right. Then quit out and edit the save to put in your seed (and be sure to make a copy of it so you can re-use it later and not need to redo the tutorial). Then go back in and Continue to start the run.
Any% is just play through the full game start to finish.
Act 1 Any% is complete the first act from a fresh save file, with time ending when you pick up the New Game tile in the cabin.
Moon% is just kill the Moon in Leshy's phase 3. (You don't need to do the sub-quest to get the film roll like you do for Act 1 Any%, hence why this is a separate category.)
Don't worry too much if you're not sure where you're supposed to be starting/stopping the timer, the mods can retime the run for you real easily.
The only thing to really be aware of from the first two deaths is that the totem sigils that the woodcarver gives you at the beginning of life 3 is dependent on what sigils you've seen "activated" up to that point ("activated" meaning that Leshy comments on that sigil's ability. So when a flying enemy first attacks, when your cockroach dies, when you sacrifice the blood goat, etc.) She'll almost always offer the Flying and 1-turn buff totems, but the third one you can intentionally choose which you get.
The best ones you can get are Unkillable from killing the Cockroach (the first card choice), the Ant-Spawner from playing the Ant Queen (from the top-right cabinet puzzle), or the 3-blood sacrifice from sacrificing the Goat in a jar (use all your items in the first right, then get lucky getting the goat from the backpack event).
To summarize: die once, then on life 2 decide which totem sigil you want:
- If Unkillable, kill your own cockroach on the 2nd battle (you can play it easily if you get the 4-bones-in-a-jar item).
- If Ant-Spawner, get her from the cabinet and play her in the 2nd battle
- If 3-blood sacrifice, use your 2 items on the first battle before dying, then get goat in a jar in the backpack event. Sacrifice the goat in the 2nd battle.
Then on life 3 you should be offered the sigil as one of the 3 totem options.
Could a separate category be added for completing just Act 1? Time could end either when the last candle goes out, or when you pick up the New Game card.
Hey there, sorry for the delay, rules have been added now. For all categories, time will start after the player types in their name and selects "Save and Continue". Time ends when the screen fully fades to black at the end.
A load remover was just added in resources, and it looks like it works alright. The splitter will automatically remove loads and start/stop the timer at the above times.
